The SBI PO Prelims Exam will be divided into three sections:

  1. Reasoning
  2. Quantitative Aptitude
  3. English Language

The duration of the SBI PO Prelims Exam will be one hour.

The highlights of the SBI PO Prelims Exam are as follows:

1. The paper will be divided into three sections.
2. A merit list will be created for each category based on the total number of points scored in the Preliminary Exam.
3.No sectional cut-off will occur. There will, however, be an overall cut off.
4.Each incorrect answer will result in a 0.25 point deduction.

Candidates who pass the SBI Prelims will be eligible to take the Mains Exam.
The weightage of General Economy/ Banking Awareness has been increased in the Mains Section, and the test will last 3 hours.

The Descriptive Test is 30 minutes long and worth 50 points. This exam is used to assess candidates\\\’ writing abilities through Letter Writing and Essay Writing.

SBI PO Mains Exam Highlights
The highlights of the SBI PO Mains Exam are as follows:

All of the questions will be objective.
This Mains paper will consist of four sections totaling 200 points.
The SBI PO Mains Exam will last three hours.
Each section of the objective test will have its own timing.
There will be no sectional severance. There will only be one overall cut.
Each incorrect Multiple Choice Question will result in a 0.25 point penalty.
The Descriptive Paper, worth 50 points, must be attempted.

Note: A candidate\\\’s descriptive paper will be checked only if they pass the Objective test with the qualifying marks set by the bank.
